Anastasia Yasko

Anastasia Yasko was born in Kursk, Russia. She began to play the piano at the age of four and later received her musical education at the Gnessin Music Academy in Moscow in the class of Tatiana Shklovskaya. She continued her studies at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory with Vera Gornostayeva and at the Mozarteum University of Music in Salzburg with Rolf Plagge and Jacques Rouvier. Since 2018, she has taught piano as Professor Plagge’s assistant at the Mozarteum. After completing her doctorate at the Mozarteum, she was awarded the academic degree of Doctor of Philosophy.

Anastasia Yasko performs regularly in Russia, Ukraine, Germany, Austria, Italy, Spain, France, Portugal and Japan. Her debut album, entitled 20th Century Russian Piano Sonatas, was released in early 2021 by ARS Produktion and nominated for two categories of the Opus Klassik award. Anastasia Yasko has won prizes at numerous competitions and music festivals, including first prize at the International Igumnov Competition in Lipetsk, Russia (2005), first prize at the Festival of Romantic Music for Young Musicians in Moscow (2008), third prize at the 9th Vladimir Krainev International Competition in Kharkiv, Ukraine (2008), third prize at the Flame International Competition in Paris (2012), first prize at the Ennio Porrino International Piano Competition in Cagliari (2013), fourth prize at the International Mauro Paolo Monopoli Piano Competition in Barletta, Italy (2016), and third prize, the Iberia Prize and a Recital Prize at the Marbella International Piano Competition in 2018. In August 2019, Anastasia Yasko performed as a prize-winner of the Mozarteum Summer Academy at the Salzburg Festival.
