Rainer Wolters

Rainer Wolters was born in Bern and completed his violin studies with Aida Stucki at the Zurich University of the Arts. In addition, masterclasses with Franco Gulli, Thomas Brandis, Rudolf Buchbinder and Paul Tortelier further shaped his artistic education.

Wolters went on to perform as soloist and chamber musician at the Lucerne Festival and Tonhalle Zurich, as well as in Montpellier, Paris, London, Salzburg and Tokio. At the age of 22 he entered the Berlin Philharmonic. He has also been concert master of Württemberg Chamber Orchestra in Heilbronn as well as the Hamburg Philharmonic Orchestra. Since 1997 he is principal concert master of the Berlin Rundfunk Symphony Orchestra.
